In the words of Dr. King, “No lie can last forever.” The idea that the Israeli and Palestinian people are truly separate, or have separate needs, is simply a lie of the mortal mind. Spiritually, we are all one. Israelis and Palestinians were created by the same God; in Him they are equal and they are joined eternally. Only thought forms have separated them. Thought forms of guilt and separation have been handed down to children born innocent of such lies, generation after generation; those are the true enemy here, not either group of people.
And dear God , deliver us all.

Celebrating 800 Years of Buddhist Legacy
First Annual Drukpa Council (“ADC”)
April 6-15, 2009
About ADC
The Drukpa Lineage or Lineage of the Dragons has the legacy of guiding countless beings on the path of Dharma and ultimate enlightenment for more than 800 years.
Yet with the passage of time, several important teachings and traditions of the lineage, such as the Yogini tradition within the Drukpa Lineage have been lost. The teachings of the three mad yogis: i.e. Tsangnyon Heruka (1452–1507), Druknyon Kunga Legpa (also known as Drukpa Kunleg, 1455–1529) and Unyon Kunga Sangpo (1458–1532) are almost disappearing. Many Drukpa followers neither know much about the Three Divine Madmen nor about other enlightened masters of the Drukpa Lineage such as Gyalwa Yangonpa (1213–1258) and Gyalwa Lorepa (1187–1250), even many of the monks and nuns do not know their biographies. His Holiness said in one of the commitee meetings that “We, the holders and followers of the glorious Drukpa Lineage, have the great responsibility of preserving and ensuring that this spiritually rich lineage continues to flourish, internally by upholding the sacred practices and externally through Live to Love activities.”
The various enlightened masters and various monastic bodies seldom had the opportunity to work together to promote the lineage due to lack of proper communication among the different masters and various monasteries and nunneries.
Each year, ADC will be organized by and taking place at the different monasteries within the Drukpa Lineage. This year, the First ADC, will be taking place in Kathmandu, Nepal, on Druk Amitabha Mountain, near the holy Swayambhunath Stupa.
It is with great pleasure for the ADC Organizing and Working Committee to announce that the first of the much awaited annual event for the Drukpa Lineage will be taking place between 6th and 15th April 2009 on Druk Amitabha Mountain in Kathmandu, Nepal.
A brainchild of His Holiness the Twelfth Gyalwang Drukpa, the spiritual head of the Drukpa Lineage, ADC aims to provide a platform for building and nourishing inter-group relationships within the Drukpa Lineage as well as to introduce and share the richness of its spiritual legacy with others. It will also provide an annual gathering for the Masters and the followers of the Drukpa Lineage to meet once a year, thus providing opportunity to receive teaching, empowerment, oral transmission, from accomplished Dragon masters of Tibet, Bhutan, India and Nepal.
Aims & Objectives
The Annual Drukpa Council (ADC) would be a yearly event for the Masters and followers of the Drukpa Lineage to come together, exchange views and spiritual knowledge. Both the experienced Rinpoches and the young of the Drukpa Lineage will be requested to give teachings and share their wisdom and experience during the ADC.
ADC aims to provide a platform for building and nourishing of multi-lateral and inter–group relationships within the Drukpa Lineage as well as introducing the richness of its spiritual heritage to others. It will provide an annual gathering for the followers of the Drukpa Lineage to meet once a year, thus nourishing a firm bond and strengthening the relationship among the individuals and groups within the Drukpa Sangha.
ADC will include not only traditional rituals and practices, but also open discussions and exchange of views regarding the practical use of spirituality to resolve today’s difficulties. It should also function as a forum to increase our ability to work more productively together in a harmonious way.
One of the key driving forces of the ADC is to promote Live to Love which is the practical aspect of inculcating loving–kindness and compassion in the world today.
His Holiness said that besides sitting on the cushions and meditating, we should also be thinking about practicing Live to Love. Compassion has to be cultivated and developed, but love is the action that needs to be carried out as a support to our daily practice.
Live to Love activities in different corners of the world will help to promote the spiritual idealism of the 800–year–old Drukpa Lineage and make it a living tradition that suits the rhythm of contemporary lifestyle. Followers and practitioners who are taking responsibility in a Live to Love project as an individual or group should get all the support needed to run their projects as their own responsibility for the benefit of all beings. http://www.drukpacouncil.org/

COMING HOME TO OUR BODIES
A WORKSHOP ON HEALING SEXUAL WOUNDS
MARCH 27-30, 2009
It is impossible to exaggerate the power a parent has over a child. Tragically and frequently this power is abused – often by turning the child into a sexual object. In order to survive in the family the child must forget this abuse almost as soon as it happens – even when it occurs over and over again.
But as with everything that happens to the body there is no real forgetting. The energy of the abuse is secretly carried into adult life. It finds expression in drinking, overeating, insomnia, back pain, anxiety, depression and a wide variety of obsessive thinking and compulsive behavior. It also manifests in urinary tract infections, colitis and in the most extreme cases heart disease, joint degeneration and cancer.
No matter what subject I address in my healing workshops sexual wounding comes up over and over again as a core issue that people are both afraid to look at and desperately in need of waking up. Because of this I’ve decided to offer an extended workshop to create the necessary safety for people to begin healing their sexual wounds.
In this workshop you will:
Discover the triggers that cause you to leave your body and open it to injury and disease.
Find out the true fears behind obsessive thinking and compulsive behavior.
Gain the courage to see your family dynamics and your own survival strategies in the family system clearly.
Reclaim your body and full ownership of your sexual vitality.
When: March 27 – 30, 2008, 10am – 5pm
Where: Marin County, California
Cost: $500; early registration by February 1st $450
To register or for more information: call 415 256-2528 or email jamtoday@juliemotz.com

“Top 10 Ideas for American.” Let us join the collective energy of the NVC Network! — MBR
“Empathy is a quality of character that can change the world.”- President-Elect Barack Obama Nonviolent Communication shows us how to make empathic connection with what’s alive in the other person and what would make life more wonderful for them. Empathic connection has a very specific meaning and purpose. Empathy, of course, is a special kind of understanding. It‘s not an understanding of the head where we just mentally understand what another person says. It’s something far deeper and more precious than that. Out of the spirit of celebration we’ll have the energy to do whatever it takes to bring about social change. I invite you to click here or on the link below adding your vote to a national campaign to present “Bridging the Empathy Gap — Yes we can!” to the Obama Administration on Inauguration Day, January 20, 2009 as a “Top 10 Ideas for American.” Let us join the collective energy of the NVC Network. Warmly, Marshall B. Rosenberg http://www.change.org/ideas/view/bridging_the_empathy_gap_-_yes_we_can Today is the last day to vote on the first round. Stay tuned for second round voting, as we currently are in first place, and we want to stay there. |
